Old Town Pub is at number 27 on Piața Sfatului. Smash burgers, wings and a bar under a moss ceiling. That's it. Done well, every day from 12:00.
On the square
We're right on Piața Sfatului, in Brașov's old centre, with tables out on the cobbles. By day you walk past us on the way to the Black Church. By night you find us by the green light spilling out the door.
Smash, not grill
Every burger is 350 g. Black Angus pressed onto a hot plate so it gets a crust. Brioche bun, caramelised onion, roast pepper and our own Old Town sauce. Nine burgers, from the Old Town Burger to the Halloumi. Any burger can go vegetarian.
The wings
250 g a portion, five ways, one price. House sauce, garlic and parmesan, BBQ, sweet chilli or crispy and spicy. Next to them: an 800 g pork knuckle, mici with mustard, and fries every way we could think of.
The ceiling
Look up once. Real preserved moss, with hanging plants and green light over the bottle shelves. Underneath: cocktails, a gin club, Stella on draught and Romanian wine. On Friday and Saturday the DJ comes and we stay open until 02:00. When there's a match, it's on the screen.
